Save and Use Clips

A clip saves an A/B range with a name, color, and notes. Save the project after organizing clips so you can select the phrase directly next time.

Save

After selecting a range, select Save and enter a name. A default such as “Clip 1” is provided; change it to “Verse,” “Phrase 2,” or a measure number. Names cannot be empty and support up to 20 characters.

Clips have eight category colors for distinguishing them in the waveform and list. Each can also hold clip notes.

Select a Clip

On phones, open the clip list from the disc page; on tablets and in browsers, use the loop bar or Clips tab.

The list supports searching, color filtering, renaming, deletion, and previewing. It sorts by start time by default. Selecting a clip makes it the current loop and moves the playhead to its start.

The list's Hide button only hides clips on the ruler; it does not delete them.

Change the Range

Saved clip ranges are locked by default. Select Edit to adjust the endpoints while listening. Save writes the changes; Cancel restores the original range.

Select New to choose another section. Deleting a clip also deletes its notes and unbinds associated pads. Copy important notes into the project note first if needed.
