Write Notes

Both projects and clips support notes for keys, fingerings, difficult passages, or practice progress.

Project Notes

Open them with Notes in the bottom bar or view them in Project Info. Use them for the whole song's key, structure, and practice plan.

Workspace changes are saved with the project. To take them to another device, save and export a project package.

Clip Notes

Select a clip, then use Notes in its controls. For example, write “Shift position after beat two” or “Hold the last note into the next measure.”

Notes belong to the clip and are deleted with it. Copy anything you want to keep independently into the project note first.

Notes in Playlists

The playlist player's notes page opens the same project note for the current track. Enter editing mode, make changes, and save; they remain visible when you return to project mode.

Audio parameters are separate between project and playlist modes, while project notes are shared. Keep this distinction in mind.

Formatting and Export

Both note types support Markdown and a formatting toolbar; see Markdown Syntax. Task-list checkbox states are also saved.

When exporting audio or clips in the app, you can include the notes corresponding to the selected range. Project packages also contain notes.

When Notes Are Expanded

Some expanded note views temporarily block gestures on the ruler and waveform below, preventing accidental range changes while editing. Collapse the notes before using the waveform again.
