Mute and Solo

After separation or importing a project package containing stems, the Stems panel shows a four-stem mixer. Enable stem playback. Each stem has volume, Mute M, and Solo S.

Common Listening Approaches

• Solo the target part: hear only bass, vocals, or another part to identify details buried in the accompaniment.
• Mute the target part: keep the other accompaniment and play that part yourself.
• Lower the target part: leave some reference volume to practice along with.

You can solo multiple stems together. When any are soloed, other stems do not play. When troubleshooting silence, also check the soloed stems' volumes.

Playback and Scrubbing Use the Current Mix

The mix applies to normal playback, loops, and disc/waveform scrubbing. The stem waveform updates too.

Disable stem playback to compare with the original song. Returning all four stems to defaults does not guarantee an exact match to the original, because separation may introduce inaccuracies.

Save and Export

Save the project after changes to keep these settings for next time. App finished-media exports can apply the current mix with Mix Processing enabled; browsers carry results in project packages.
